my interests

Music: I just bought a nano so now possess my brother's music collection ... since I own the world’s smallest CD collection (apparently) this is a step up in the music world ….get a bit trapped in the early 90s…...hate commercial radio. Like happy music and something to dance to.

Reading: Love reading novels with good story…nothing by Dan Brown or thick books sold at airport. Like travel writing and mad S American novels. The Dili Book Club meets on my veranda once a month so it makes me look literary. Studying p/t so read obscure journal articles and books with dull covers.

Movies & TV: Like the movies, but don’t go that often...no cinemas in downtown Dili. "Balibo" was the last thing I saw in Australia, ironically. Have not yet caved to satellite TV, but a keen diet of Mad Men, 30 Rock and US crime shows on DVD

Sport: In my real life I play netball, squash and swim...in my Timor life I walk up hills and am generally slothful...too hot to do anything much. Recently bought a bike and am enjoying that for rides out to the beach...nothing too strenuous and no hills. Spent long enough in Melbourne so have an AFL team.

Other interests: We do a lot of eating and talking here. I used to travel more, but now it's just Bali for the good food and massages (avoiding Kuta and ugly Australians like the plague!). Completing PhD study p/t so focused on making graphs, tables and insightful reflections...have close attachment to my Mac.
